Main Task: Introduction

The brief set towards this project is to create a Magazine front cover, contents page and a double page spread. Throughout this project I would need to complete all the Main tasks for example the Planning & Research. The planning and research include - Introduction of the Brief, Textual Analysis of Excisting Magazine Texts, Magazine Conventions Diagrams, Audience Research, Profiling Your Audience, Magazine Mock Ups/designs/layouts, Case Study of a Publishing House, Mood board, Un-manipulated Photos
and more however the main focus is creating parts of the Magazine. The Main task is to show my understanding, planning and creativity towards the project, this will be shown through the stages of my work.

The main genre my Magazine will focus on is Dance (Hip hop) and my target audience is mainly set towards 16+. My main colour scheme will consist of yellow and blue because I think those colours are the most suitable since they are youthful colours and the Masthead for my Magazine will be called STANDOUT. The reason for this choice of genre is because I can relate to dance as most of my friends do it as a hobby and dancing is everywhere however there are not much dance magazines, I would also like to learn more about the genre.
